Faces of belief exhibition in German House
German embassy in coordination with the German House for Cooperation and Culture organized yesterday a photographic exhibition on (faces of belief). The exhibition comprised 20 photographs for the German photographer Ralf Bäcker that reflects the outcome of a journey by Bäcker for Hadramout, Taiz, Tehamah, Saada in which he photographed Yemeni youth and elderly perfuming their religious rituals near subdued flames of fire.“Through photos I am trying to convey the religious feelings in both cultures of Islam and Christianity,” Bäcker said. “The exhibition comes in the frame of activating dialogue between Arab and European civilizations,” he added. On his part, director of the German House for Cooperation and Culture, Gudio Zebisch, underscored the importance of holding the exhibition in further strengthening dialogue between distinct cultures.
